So I told
Just not in a post. But I got brave this morning and updated my weight on the sidebar.
I’ve also remembered why I stopped using my Bodymedia Fit. I just hate the feel of it on my arm. I like the interface and I think it’s a good tool, but I’m not sure that I will continue using it. Yesterday, after only having it on for a couple hours, I just ripped it off my arm when it started to bug me. I’m beginning to think something like a Fitbit might be more my speed.
I put a Fitbit on my Christmas list, but I don’t expect to actually get it, since I want a portable GPS unit for my car a lot more. The older I get, the harder it is to read the tiny text on maps.
While I was at it, I changed the wording on the old Nook Diet page to be the e-Reader diet. Not as catchy sounding, but I’m giving my Nook to a nephew, and am using Sony readers currently. Still love the e-reading experience, but I might have to re-think on rewards and incorporate some other ones as well, since I have managed to replace a lot of my paper books with ebooks.
Anyway, time to get up, move around, get some stuff done. Less time at the computer is sorely needed!

I have a love/hate relationship with my bodymedia fit! One thing I hate is that it’s hard to clean since the armband doesn’t detach, and thing gets to smelling MIGHTY funky. But I’m kinda addicted to the data…

I have two straps, so I can clean one while using the other. Not that I am always good about cleaning it timely! I do like the data, but the trouble is, because I can’t stand it on my arm for more than half a day, I get incomplete data. So it might be time to sell it on. Maybe my skin is just a bit too sensitive to it.

The data is definitely good. My trouble being that if I don’t wear the armband, I get no data. And the blamed armband drives me nuts, especially in winter. I can’t put it tighter or I really can’t stand it, but in the whole business of wearing layers to cope with the cold, sooner or later, the blamed thing falls off and I can’t always get an arm in via my sleeve to put it back in place. And no matter how much I clean it, sooner or later, it just starts to irritate me. I think I’m moving on to a Fitbit, though today I am wearing both, to get an idea of how they compare. I’m sure the BodyMedia is better for accuracy, but the Fitbit is just so much easier to wear and deal with. I might be willing to lose a little accuracy for ease of use and less cost.
