Well here I am
I’ve actually lost some weight this week, in spite of being mostly inactive except for my pushups and squats and a wee, tiny bit of cardio. I have been keeping my calories in check, between 1700-1800 a day, and that has probably been what has done it. The weather has been cold, with freezing fog and poor visibility, I wasn’t getting out in it at all. And it’s looking like more of the same today.
The rime ice is kind of pretty though.
If anyone is wondering why I suffer from SAD during the winter, it is because of the fog and clouds, there are times when I might not see sun for a couple months, December and January usually being like that. We had a great early December with sunny, clear, cold days, but now it is back to the norm. Which looks like this photo the National Weather Service here posted to their wall on Facebook.
Yeah. You look at that and you understand.
But the bright and shiny bit is that I have lost 2.2 pounds this week. I am telling myself every day that I can do this. January 1, 2012 will look better, not worse in terms of health and fitness. I will be a little bit thinner and a little bit stronger.
